Cities!
When we built them we usually don't think about how they will look later, once we've abandoned them again. We built for the time when we actually live there. Compared with the long time stretches before, when there was only nature, and after, when there is only abandonment, that moment of human livelihood is very short indeed - usually less than a few thousand years. But, during that short time we enjoy ourselves immensely in these environments and think they are hustling and bustling with live - while, in fact, we have driven out most life forms, except for us humans of course (and the insects).
